Job Alert - Food Technologist & Compliance Advisor

Are you passionate about food safety, audit standards, and supporting food businesses with compliance? SALSA Technologies Ltd, encompassing SALSA Food Certification and MNGP are looking for a new member of the team !

This role is ideal for someone with expertise in food safety management systems and a knack for providing clear, practical advice to non-technical clients. You’ll play a key role in helping businesses navigate food labelling, SALSA compliance, and product specification systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The role is flexible depending on your current experience with the opportunity to learn, but will include :

🔹 Managing product specifications and technical documentation.

🔹 Providing expert guidance to clients over the phone.

🔹 Handling and preparing product samples for assessments.

🔹 Planning and overseeing product benchmarking and shelf-life testing.

🔹 Reviewing corrective action evidence submitted following SALSA audits.

🔹 Supporting small and micro food businesses with tailored advice.

🔹 Collaborating with the team to improve food safety processes and compliance strategies.

Who We’re Looking For:

✅ A food science-related degree with strong knowledge of food technology, safety, and law.

✅ Previous experience in the food industry.

✅ Strong attention to detail.

✅ Excellent spoken and written English.

✅ Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

✅ A fast learner with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

✅ Comfortable using digital tools and technology.

✅ Willingness to take on new challenges and support the wider team.
